Week of June 10th, 2019

ABC Countdown – This week we will continue with the ABC countdown to summer vacation.  We will have rainbow day on Monday, school spirit day on Tuesday, thank you day on Wednesday, unforgettable day on Thursday and visit day on Friday.


Math – This week students will begin working in unit 12.  Unit 12 is our final math unit of the school year and focuses on reviewing all of the math concepts we’ve learned this year.  Students can also continue their independent learning at home by visiting mobymax.com. Our school is listed as Ray elem, and students know their online usernames and passwords.


Language Arts – This week we will continue reading non-fiction texts.  Specifically we will be reading about dinosaurs and Dr. Seuss’ Lorax over the next two weeks.  Students will focus on creating posters in class demonstrating the important parts of non-fiction texts.  Students can also continue independent reading practice at home on Headsprout.com. The class username is mmwebb1.  Students know their individual passwords once on the class website.


Social Studies – This week we will continue with our Passport unit.  If you would like to present a country which you have lived in or visited, please email me at mmwebb@cps.edu and we will set up a time for you to present a country to us..


Science – This week students will learn more about plants and insects.  Students will focus on plants this week, and how they assist insects and all animals.
