Week of June 3rd, 2019

ABC Countdown – This week we will continue with the ABC countdown to summer vacation.  We will have music day on Monday, no homework day on Tuesday, outside day on Wednesday, pajama day on Thursday and question day on Friday.


NWEA Testing – This week we will take the NWEA reading and math test on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Please make sure that students are at school on time with a full breakfast each day of testing.


Math – This week our focus will be on our NWEA testing.  Once testing is complete students will wrap up Unit 11.  Study packets will be sent home and we will aim to take the Unit 11 math test on Monday of next week.  Students can also continue their independent learning at home by visiting mobymax.com. Our school is listed as Ray elem, and students know their online usernames and passwords.


Language Arts – This week, our focus will be on NWEA testing.  Once testing is complete, we will continue reading non-fiction texts.  Students can also continue independent reading practice at home on Headsprout.com.  The class username is mmwebb1. Students know their individual passwords once on the class website.


Social Studies – This week we will continue with our Passport unit.  We will have a special presentation on Poland this week.  If you would like to present a country which you have lived in or visited, please email me at mmwebb@cps.edu and we will set up a time for you to present a country to us..


Science – Last week students did a great job with the insects presentations.  This week students will learn more about the metamorphosis all insects go through.
