Week of May 20th, 2019

Progress Reports Update:  Ray school recently converted to a new computer program for grades.  We have experienced some bugs in printing them.  Progress Reports will go home in students folders on Wednesday, May 22nd.

Rock Fest – Room 212 will be performing in Rock Fest this Tuesday at 9:00am in the auditorium.

Math – This week students will continue working in Unit 11. Specifically students will be working on word problems and multi-digit subtraction. Students can also continue their independent learning at home by visiting mobymax.com.  Our school is listed as Ray elem, and students know their online usernames and passwords.

Language Arts – This week, we will focus on reviewing for the NWEA test which we will take on June 5th and 6th.  Students can also continue independent reading practice at home on Headsprout.com. The class username is mmwebb1.  Students know their individual passwords once on the class website.

Social Studies – This week we will continue with our Passport unit.  If you would like to present a country that you have lived in or visited with our class, please email me at mmwebb@cps.edu and we will set up a time for you to present a country to us..

Science – Students should complete their “save the insects” brochure this week.  Directions for this project were sent home, and are active on my blog. Projects are due at school this Friday, May 24th.  This week we will begin listening to our insects presentations, and continue learning about the life cycle of insects.
