Week of April 22nd, 2019

Snacks – We have run very low on snacks.  If you have not sent a snack contribution in recently, please consider sending one in now.  We currently have 25 students in our classroom.

Ray School Walk-a-thon – Ray school is having a walk-a-thon on Friday, May 17th.  All students will walk in this year’s walk-a-thon. We are asking all families to set up a Dojiggy account and ask friends and families to contribute through their Dojiggy page.  Each classroom is a team, and we would love for room 212 to play a leading role in this year’s fundraiser. Here is the link for setting up your dojiggy account: http://rayschool.dojiggy.com

Ms. Zelnick’s Farewell – Thursday will be Ms. Zelnick’s last day with our class.  Both she and Ms. Montney are finishing up their teaching studies and will be looking for teaching positions this fall.  Their graduation is Tuesday, and their last day at Ray school will be Thursday. We wish them both well!

Math – This week students will finish working in Unit 9. Students will begin to learn about area and review measurement and perimeter. Students can also continue their independent learning at home by visiting mobymax.com.  Our school is listed as Ray elem, and students know their online usernames and passwords.

The class username is mmwebb1.  Students know their individual passwords once on the class website.

Social Studies – This week we will begin preparing our Passport unit.  This week we will learn about France. If you would like to present a country that you have lived in or visited with our class, please email me at mmwebb@cps.edu and we will set up a time for you to present a country to us..
