Week of March 20, 2017

 

Math – This week students will begin working in Unit 7 which focuses on measurement as well as multi-digit addition and subtraction.  Students can also continue their individualized math lessons on mobymax.com from home.  If you have difficulty logging in from home, please let me know.

 

Language Arts – This week, we will continue reading the novel Red  by Ray school parent Liesl Shurtliff.  In addition, students will read the Journey’s story “The Signmaker’s Assistant”. Our vocabulary words for this week are: assistant, agreed, polite, failed, tearing, wisdom, cleared, and trouble.  We will take a reading comprehension and vocabulary test on this week’s Journey’s story on Friday.  

 

Social Studies – This week we will continue learning about Susan B. Anthony as we continue spotlighting women for Women’s history month.  

 

Science – This week, we will continue our science unit – Land and Water.  This week students will learn about the phenomenons created when land masses move.
